As I researched and put this inspiration board together I realised that the main element is the vibrant colour scheme. Vivid colours that create a striking scheme of busy contrasts.
Paper bunting, maracas, fans for the ladies and sombreros for the gents, with strings of paper lanterns to light the area after dark can all be considered to add to the theme of the day
On the tables contrast bright napkins and accessories with a white/light table cloth and bright flowers in terra-cotta pots or vintage tins to decorate. Alternatively bright colourful tablecloths with stark white china.
For favors, you could give miniature bottles of tequila or chilli jam. Alternatively the fans and sombreros could act as a larger favor.
The cake can be just as vibrant, with a white icing base, again covered in bright coloured patterns or flowers
For your pre reception drink , consider sangria, a traditional drink made from sweetened wine mixed with brandy, fruit juice, and soda water. Alternatively Margarita is another option that fits with the theme.
For the music at your fiesta theme wedding, you could have a solo guitarist at the ceremony who then strolls around the pre reception serenading you and your guests. For the evening music you could possibly hire a rousing Mariachi band , with their amazing costumes and many combinations of instruments it will undoubtedly add an authentic style to your wedding fiesta.
After spending time in Spain when some of the fiesta’s were taking place I noticed how much the children are a part of the life there and involved in every celebration. With this in mind you might consider hanging a pinata and letting your younger guests take turns swatting it with a stick while wearing a colorful blindfold.
